Eight years inside and five years waiting out the parole restrictions we are in Manhattan, New York 1987 and Donnie can begin to rebuild his life without the interference of the parole board. Things have changed, but not that much. He's spent 5 years sweeping out halls and community centres but that doesn't mean he hasn't had his ear to the ground. The old neighborhood has never been the same since the Fredonna's were taken out back in 1974. That was the night Donnie should have been whacked. He got lucky but thirteen years later he's got a score to settle with his old nemesis, Roberto Fredonna. Local priest, pillar of the community. Money launderer and the uptown bank for wiseguys.
