Tragic convictions
The afternoon sun burns brightly through the delicate cobwebs of translucent cloud, a solitary amber orb in an infinite sapphire sky. A gentle breeze chills the air. On the rooftop of a tall building, JAMES, tall and rugged stands alone with his head hung low, his feet dangerously close to the edge. He looks down gingerly, lips quivering. He stumbles away from the ledge giddily, muttering to himself in frustration. Pacing backwards and forwards, he peers over the edge and retreats fearfully. Finally composing himself, James steps up onto the ledge with tragic conviction.
