Estranged alcoholic mother waiting nervously waits to meet her son after many years

An alcoholic mother had been estranged from her son for many years. She has contacted him to tell him she has stopped drinking and wants to meet him and his partner. Reluctantly the son agrees however on the way to the pub where they have arranged to meet he is run over and killed.
