Picture COMMON PEOPLE will be an entertaining feature film aiming for mainstream commercial success, and worldwide distribution. In a format reminiscent of SHORT CUTS, or LOVE ACTUALLY a number of characters and stories develop over a series of short scenes that collide, and overlap to create a vibrant dramatic tapestry. These are people that you would find in the UK’s parks every day of the year; the young mums with their buggies, pensioners on mobility scooters, bird-watching boy scouts, and alfresco philosophers. By having six separate stories, and over thirty characters weaved into it’s 90 minute running time COMMON PEOPLE will feel like a much bigger film than the sum of its parts. As a feel-good celebration of life in London’s parks, the film will have the potential to attract audiences worldwide when the city takes centre-stage for the Olympics next summer.
