A dialogue composed of aphorisms by poet Yahia Lababidi

Marla ('bitter') and Tikva ('hope') engage in their constant battle of opposing viewpoints, watched indulgently by their almost silent friend Sophia ('wisdom'). The exchanges in this film are taken word for word from the aphorisms in the book 'Signposts to Elsewhere' by Yahia Lababidi, Egyptian/Lebanese writer residing in the U.S.
