Dead Bolt Dead

2009, 220 minutes

Low-budget Independent Film, but actors etc were paid!

A first feature film created by a very young, but talented company backed by their father who was one of the Heads of Disney. It was shot at Dirk Bogarde's house using an experienced crew and some very established name actors. It is a gangster film with a twist which tells the story of an ageing Mob Boss (James Laurenson) who is visited by a Hit-man (Neil Stuke) and the cat and mouse game that ensues when they meet. Light touches to the movie are added by the presence of the Boss's Mexican Housekeeper (Rosemary Smith) who is mad about Westerns and Gary Cooper in particular. The film is shot in a way that mirrors the fight at the OK Corral with Consuela singing her version of 'Do not forsake me oh my Darlin'.
