Different Day is a short film about the struggles a young carer faces in her pursuit of independence.

Eighteen year old Alicia has been the primary carer for her little sister and bipolar mother since her early teens. Though the love she has for her mother and sister is unconditional, Alicia has been secretly saving money to enable her to escape the home she grew up in, so that she can live a life she lost out on, free from responsibility and as far away as possible. But her plans are shattered when it's revealed that her little sister has been harbouring an escape plan of her own. Alicia is faced with the ever familiar choice of family duty or the chance of freedom.
