Dilemma

Nobody gets away with murder ...

Old student friends, Julian and David meet up in London. Among other things, they reminisce over an obsession they once shared at Uni about getting away with the perfect crime. Murder. Ironically, with Julian now an influential, card-sharp criminal lawyer and David about to become the noteworthy, crime novelist he'd always dreamed of, they soon find out how equally-matched they are as they put aside masculine, theatrical mockeries and go off on a night of drinking. But as the night heads toward its anti-climactic, boring conclusion (at least as far as Julian is concerned) they happen to come across a secluded yet sophisticated hotel bar. And it is there that Julian sees the rather alluring Karen, who sits at the bar alone. Intrigued by her nonchalance, Julian invites her to join them but when the bar closes early, Karen convinces them both to go back to her room to carry on their drinking. But after several tricks and traps, she challenges them both. That they play a game. A duplicitous distraction she calls 'Dilemma'. After a night of passion Julian and David wake in the morning but Karen has been gruesomely murdered. Fear, tensions and suspicions soon mount, with each friend accusing the other as they become inextricably locked in a stalemate of blame. But it is not long before they realise that their forbidden, student obsession has reared its ugly head and left them both cornered on a likely murder charge. But fate is not so easily fooled as the police close in and, as they realise, to their ultimate despair, they have no other alternative but to disprove the adage: That nobody gets away with murder ... Or do they?
