DREAMZ The Movie’ is a tapestry of touching stories of females, from different parts of the world, yet all similar in having tragic and abusive pasts. We see them struggling with their broken identities, and yet striving to forge ahead in the enabling eco-system of a University. They are each on their individual path of self-discovery and self-restoration till one day a common crisis unites them. Along the way, their own inhibitions and insecurities are exposed and we discover the pasts of each of these girls; pasts that affect the way they handle the loss of a loved one in their lives. An osmosis of experiences leads to degrees of transcendence and healing in each of them. The Storytelling The film is a feminine perspective on layers of abuses that eventually end up affecting a woman, no matter where they start. Yet these issues which diminish her dignity and attack her self-esteem are so often pushed under the carpet, as families feigns ignorance, society turns a blind eye. The film is a bold experiment in every way – straddles a variety of women’s issues; has actors from multiple cultures; cross-section of strongly-etched characters; original score by an international musician; and fresh in tenor and technique. It’s a movie intended to leave an indelible mark on our hearts and minds, so that they open up to Change – Valuing Women and humanity! A crossover film, which highlights the atrocities faced by females in every league of society and how they can come up from the atrocities collectively and lead successful and peaceful life. Director’s Voice: In this 21st century where we feel proud of human achievements, but we ignore other part of society as well, we have been bought up in, even today we face problem like domestic violence, sexual assault, child marriage, mental and physical abuse, and we say we are social and civilized, it is not only constraint to female now, it has been to both the genders, but my prime focus is on female/women who faces certain problems and try to come out to the problem to lead peaceful/ successful life. Throughout the world female face certain common problems, weather it is in India or in other country, it is a global issue, every society have their good and evil! My film is voice for those unspoken words and unveiled circumstances of the society, who feels rituals, are more important than humanity! A dream of violence free world, a place free of humiliation, a safe home and supporting society, a place where personality are natured not person are judged!!
