Easy As It Seems
2012, 30 minutes
This film talks with uncomfortable honesty and cutting humour about the reality of looking for love.
Sam moves in with his girlfriend, Emma. They have been together for two months. It's clearly ill-advised but optimism combined with delusion means that within days they find themselves looking at sofas together in Ikea. While assembling their newly-purchased furniture over a period of several days, they struggle to resolve issues with housekeeping, and worse, with their relationship. Sam and Emma try to hide their concerns from each other, but their bigger issues manifest themselves in small everyday gripes. This film talks with uncomfortable honesty and cutting humour about the reality of looking for love.
