Harry, a socially awkward mature student with a terrible secret, strikes up a friendship with Scarlet, a beautiful young exchange student. They bond over a love of literature and cook elaborate meals for each other, at which Scarlet struggles to hide her escalating bulimia. Gradually Scarlet grows to trust Harry; little realizing that he is motivated by a cannibalistic obsession and a desire to kill and eat a woman. Scarlet has found a friend, Harry has found a victim.
