Goodbye Winter tells the story of Arthur's mysterious phone-calls from his old friend Bill Trumell.

Set in Sheffield in 1984, Goodbye Winter takes place during the miner's strike of that year. Margaret Thatcher and Arthur Scargill both interject via radio broadcasts as the action unfolds. Goodbye Winter tells the story of Arthur's mysterious phone-calls from his old friend Bill Trumell. Sean, Arthur's son explains that the calls must be illusory since Bill Trumell died many years ago. Arthur is less sure.
