A family is broken by a paternity test that reveals devastating news.

Lynne, a loving mother is sent a letter from her ex-husband, which states he is not the biological father to their eldest son, Jake. She is given the difficult task of informing Jake of the news and he doesn't take it lightly. Jake rejects Lynne's plead for him to forgive her and decides to dismiss her. Bobby, the younger son watches on as his small family breaks apart, with no understanding of what is wrong, he begs many questions that go unanswered. Lynne is lost in her own mind and the reminder of her past nearly pushes her over the edge. However, with her mother instincts and protecting nature, she is determined to gain her son's forgiveness, and is redeemed in an unexpected way.
