Priest is a protagonist of the story. The shortage of worshippers attending his holy services leads to a profound spiritual crisis, also due to his young age. A young, attractive woman who enters in his church, as well as his life, is the spark he was waiting for. From this moment, he become obsessed with her; his desire is not merely physical, as he needs to understand what brought her to him in tears. The struggle between his carnal, earthly desires and his spiritual vocation is the real antagonist and focus of the story.
