He Served the Empire

2017, 30 minutes

Serving the Empire, but also being human must have been two hugely conflicting allegiances and exploring this through our character Lucan is incredibly appealing.

We have always loved history and the life and achievements of a Roman Centurion have always fascinated us. Serving the Empire, but also being human must have been two hugely conflicting allegiances and exploring this through our character Lucan is incredibly appealing. Working with our lead actor Alex Brock, we expect to do exactly that. Alex was a captain in the army for several years and can draw on his past experiences to fully immerse himself in character. There are times when the universe tells you that you are on the right path, and ever since this project was born this has been the case. Everything seems to fall into place. We have Matt on board, a young and talented cinematographer who is the youngest person in the world to own a Red Scarlet-W 5k Digital Cinema Camera and a set of cinelenses (£60k+ of equipment). We also have Tom on board who also owns a Red, so we have two of those amazing cameras to use! *rub hands with glee*. We have some fantastic cast on board, as well as a location abroad to accommodate two set builds as well as use of professional and experienced stunt coordinators and a production designer. So many cast and crew have jumped on board with the project already, completely sold by the script alone – and we are really excited to now look to obtain some additional help with funding. I believe this project will be a great success, shot beautifully on high end equipment and we can’t wait to get going in September 2017 and show what we can achieve.
