Heaven Knows

2015, 15 minutes

Heaven Knows is a dark comedy about artists and how we perceive them.

Creatively inclined but hopelessly bored, an aspiring artist discovers that being miserable makes her productive, and quickly seeks increasingly extravagant ways to make herself unhappy. Exploring the stereotype of the depressed and detached artist, Heaven Knows is a humorous deconstruction of artistic self-expression. An exciting young team - who, between them, have experience on BBC drama, in ITN production, at the Royal Opera House, have performed in the Royal Albert Hall and exhibited at London’s National Theatre - are now seeking to turn Heaven Knows into an ambitious independent short, which is both visually impressive and funny. Written and to be directed by Florence Hyde, an exciting new talent, this will be a film that is at once witty, sad, thought-provoking and beautiful. Heaven Knows will be distributed to UK and international film festivals, including Sundance, Tribeca, Cannes and the London Short Film Festival.
