The year is 1180 AD. King Richard the lion heart has distributed power to the Lords of his land in his absence. The Sheriff of each town has been authorised to enforce the law and maintain order, ensuring the people abide by their civil duties and pay their taxes. Robert Loxely, the Lord of Nottinghamshire, returns from fighting in the crusades along side his closest life long friend. He honours him by making him the Sheriff of Nottingham. Robin, only a young boy, watches as his father and mother are betrayed by the merciless Sheriff and executed before him. Several years later and now a veteran of the war himself, Robin wanders the land alone. A chance meeting places him at the feet of John little, the reluctant leader of a rebellion. The rebellion made up of those who have been outcast, Outlawed and banished from the city. Their villages raped and pillaged at the hands of the Sheriff. After Robin witnesses first hand the brutality of the Sheriff and his men, as the camp of women and children are bludgened and murdered, his morality is tested and a new path laid out for him. Marion, a victim of kidnap by Guy of Gisborne and the kings guard is used as bait, to draw out the heir to the Lordship of the land, Robin Loxely. Robin now has a choice, to turn his back on his homeland, his people and his lineage, or stand, fight and lead the rebellion against the tyrannical Sheriff and lay siege to the fortified Nottingham castle! After the trap is set, a savage battle ensues as the Sheriff uses everything in his power to destroy the rebellion, including the fiery, explosive ammunition fired from his trebuchet's into the forest. Will the will of the people be enough to take down the Sheriff once and for all?
