I am just going outside

2016, 15 minutes

OUTSIDE is a short film about Captain Scott, Titus Oates and the British expedition to the South Pole in 1912.

A short retelling of the final days of the British expedition to the South Pole in 1912, OUTSIDE is about the extremes that people are willing to push themselves to for honour and the companionship that develops between men in extraordinary conditions. Captain Scott and his men, Birdie Bowers, Dr. Wilson and Titus Oates have reached the Antarctic flats. They’re days away from help but they’re struggling. Switching the famous story’s perspective to one of Scott’s men, Titus Oates is injured and frostbitten and worsening by the day. The team are running out of food and fuel and they’re slowing down to keep him with them. The temperature continues to drop and Oates has to decide whether to carry on or find another way to help his team and end his misery.
