A woman in her late twenties who is now a reclusive nun, having had her baby Agnes kidnapped one day when they were in a park. She has not come to terms with her loss and still keeps one shoe of her baby (which was the only thing left of her at the kidnapping scene) on her bedside table. Becoming a Sister dramatically changed the previous Olive Guybertaut - not only has she become a reserved woman, but also an unhappy one. She believed that the only way to escape the evils of the world was to leave it and join the convent.
