Ill Manors

2012, 121 minutes

A multi-character story set against the tough streets of Forest Gate, East London where everyone is fighting for respect.

The film focuses on eight core characters as they interact and survive on the streets. Each story weaves into one another painting an ultra-realistic gritty picture of a world which is on the brink of self-destruction. Writer/Director Ben Drew brings his intimate knowledge of this East London world and its people and marries it with contemporary hip-hop and grime culture. Ben is already an accomplished musician, song-writer, filmmaker and actor. Recently, Ben performed opposite Michael Caine in Harry Brown that complemented his previous role as Dabs in Noel Clarke's Adulthood. Ben also has a cameo in Noel's new film 4321. Ben's (aka Plan B) album The Defamation of Strickland Banks has been number 1 in the UK Album charts for several weeks (April-May 2010) with 3 different top-10 singles.
