Film noir meets the politics of immigration
Sameer Hussein is a cynical and wry-witted private detective, whose business is put at risk when he discovers that one of his prospective clients is an "illegal immigrant". Tragedy ensures when he threatens to report the man to the police. Insha'Allah is a character-driven short immersed deeply in the styles of Film Noir. It is the first film from Oxfordshire-based writing, producing, and directing partnership, Darwin Franks and Ben Nicholson and is being produced by their co-created production company, High Five Films.
