Peter Ashbourne a broken detective

Peter Ashbourne is a low class detective in the police force. He aims to gain higher status. However he has a history of drinking and disorderly conduct which are preventing him from reaching his goals. Peter is approached by a gentleman of higher status and accused of a crime he is sure he didn’t commit. But how do you prove your innocence when all of the evidence points to the contrary?
