She Has Other Plans!

Janed is a 10 minutes drama about a single mother Jane. Jane lives with her son Arthur. She is a female in her 30s estranged from her former partner Richard. Arthur misses his father, a fact reflected in his regular habit of drawing pictures. Jane still has a deep affection for her former partner Richard who is a male in his late 30s, a coffee shop owner. In fact Jane is happy that Richard has visiting rights as she can then accompany Arthur to the meeting point an excuse to see Richard herself. Hoping that the old spark will be rekindled and they will be together once again. On the day in question Arthur is surprised but delighted to be told that is a day he will see his father. He is not aware of his mother's full motivation. Jane's love for Arthur is total and unquestioning but still she uses him as a leaver to keep herself in Richard's life. When Richard arrives to the coffee shop Jane asks Victoria ( the waitress ) to look after Arthur for a short time, wanting to spend time alone with Richard. She uses their time alone to accuse Richard neglacting his son. At this moment another woman comes on to the scene, greeting Richard with a lot of affection. Jane's worsth nightmare she's been replaced in Richard's affections. Richard introduces his new partner Lynn who is a very beautiful lady, looking at least 10 years younger than Richard. Lynn is only too happy to show Jane her right hand, and the engagement ring it contains. It appears that all Jane's hopes for a reconciliation are in ruins. Certainly Richard has moved on and Lynn has become what Jane once was... Jane's situation seems hopeless but SHE HAS OTHER PLANS...
