Psychological journey of discovery from adolescence to adulthood

Jessica's reality comes back and forth in the therapy sessions. She talks about adventures that she took on as a child and narrates as the audience are taken into her memory. Like every child Jessica had a favorite book that she read every night with the company of her imaginary friend Iggy. Unlike every child Jessica reveals she was neglected and abused by her mother. Her loneliness was fulfill by an imaginary friendship that felt so real. Was it that he existed or was it because her mother was poisoning her. Iggy convinced Jessica as a child that she need’s to become a super hero to get better. Tortured by her past Jessica picks up the pieces. Wanting to fulfill her imaginary friends wish to find her super hero. Jessica explains the surreal world in which they travelled together, meeting characters from her favorite book. The surreal world ends as her friend disappears in her arms to reveal Jessica as an adult sitting in the chair talking to the therapist. Jessica remembers the last time she saw Iggy, was when her aunt had finally got a call from the police. Jessica turns the last page of her favorite childhood book entitled, 'Jessica's Dream-A Survivor'. A receptionist walks in and explains that her patient is waiting for her. A little girl stands in the doorway shy and nervous. Jessica walks over to the little girl. The little girl asks if her friend can come in. Jessica doesn't see anyone a reminiscent flash of her childhood friend makes her smile and she welcomes them in. Iggy walks in with the little girl. Jessica cannot see Iggy and he explains 'you were always the super hero' he looks at the little girl, 'I told you I would find you one'. Jessica is a child psychotherapist-a real life super hero.
