Lad: A Yorkshire story

The story of a teenage lad called Tom Proctor who loses his dad and forms a friendship with a national park warden in the Yorkshire Dales.

When Tom Proctors (13) dad dies his world falls apart; His brother joins the army, his mum is threatened with eviction and he faces a criminal prosecution after stealing a tractor to spread manure over the local bank branch. All this changes however when Tom is given community service with national park ranger Al Thrope (64), in this heart-warming tale of two individuals overcoming adversity and in the process forming a unique and inspiring friendship.
