Funding trailer - Dave has to transport his father's ashes, on a boat across the north of England to gain his inheritance.

Dave Longthorn is a sculptor living on a canal boat in West Yorkshire, England where he cares for his wheel-chair bound partner, Paul. Dave's parents, Arthur and Maggie, split up when he was young, around the time he left home, and he has himself for their divorce ever since. Introverted and in-confident, Dave ignores those around him, including Carl. On visits to Dave, Carl's attention is focused father and not on his partner Stacey. blamed his son on his Dave is plagued by visions of his father who berates him for his lack of drive and his incompetence. Arthur, Dave's father died at Easter almost a year previous and Dave has had the ashes of his father, a mariner, on his boat since then. As part of Arthur's Will, Dave has to transport the ashes, east via the canal, to the River Humber in Hull within one year of Arthur's death. Assisted by Paul, Dave sets out in his canal boat to fulfill the request of his father, and in the process rid himself of his visions and his guilt.
