This is a film about performance and the roles we play in life and how seriously we take them, and how we reflect on them.

Anais has always been into acting in amateur dramatics. Only now she has landed the lead role in a play in a village hall about an American Movie and Theatre actress called Mable. She decides to method act the role. Her brother takes the micky out of her and she becomes really absorbed in Mable. She meets a journalist who interviews her, he finds it hard to interview her (Anais) as her role Mable, and finds it strange to hear her talking about her Hollywood life style. She gets nervous about the play and rehearses a lot. She sees a guy she likes and hopes she will see him again, but he sees her as Mable and not as Anais and she wonders if he will understand her as herself Anais. She worries about who she is and her role and if she can do it.
