Struggling to escape an abusive relationship, a young artist encounters a mysterious extra-terrestrial presence haunting her apartment.

Emotionally imprisoned in an abusive relationship, CIRA, a surrealist painter, seeks to escape her toxic and mundane life. In order to cope, she develops a penchant for losing herself in her own imagination. One evening, a historic event on TV captivates her, which televises the first possible evidence of advanced extra-terrestrial life on Mars. Cira heads to bed feeling ineffably inspired by the discovery, but still apprehensive about sleeping beside her husband. In the morning, with her husband at work, Cira makes the bold decision to leave the apartment and never come back. She swiftly packs her suitcase and unlocks the front entrance but, to her anguish, struggles to find the strength to open the door. Conflicted, entrapped and longing for comfort, she begins to paint a mysterious, far away land. When a night comes, Cira encounters strange lights and vivid hallucinations followed by a haunting visitation from a 'being' not of this Earth. Faced with a dilemma of whether to hid from or face the apparition, over the course of the night, Cira discovers the true nature behind their 'arrival'.
