July 16, 1969; Apollo 11 is launched, 24 years to the day of the first U.S nuclear bomb test. But when a conspiracist suggests that the launch could be a broadcast distraction for a more controversial experiment we're not being told about, a tormented loner is abducted from his bomb-stricken apartment.
