When the pilot of a small plane passes out, his best friend (a first timer, who is terrified of flying) is forced to land the plane.
Seventy year old Frank has always been scared of flying but one day his friend Pete, an experienced pilot and owner of a two seater plane, convinces him to come up for a flight. When Pete passes out midflight Frank has to take over the controls with dramatic consequences. MAYDAY centres around the radio conversation between Frank and Roger, a flying instructor in ground control, as it veers from nail-biting tension to laugh-out-loud funny and back again.
