Tim Fountain and Bette Bourne travel to New York to meet Quentin Crisp. Tim is writing a play in which Bette will play the ‘Resident Alien’. Six months on, as the production opens, Quentin – having sworn he will never return - dies on the eve of a tour of England. So why did he come?
