My Life, A Tram

2010, 5 minutes

A mentally disabled man gives his life order by riding trams all day

My life, a Tram, is a story about Bernie - he likes to ride trams. Bernie does the same thing everyday, it is a way to maintain any form of normalcy he might have. After Bernie's fathers death, he is unsure how to continue in life, so he does what he always did. This silent, weary repetition is tragic and yet uplifting in the way Bernie goes about it. It is a confused, lonely, bittersweet, nostalgic story filled with regret. Bernie still maintains a hopeful wonderland for the simple world he lives in, everyday when he chooses to ride the trams again.
