Young artists living in London trying to make a living out of their art.
Lee is an English-French actress and all-around artist in her mid 20s. She's just graduated in art/filmmaking and she’s quite uncertain about her future and what to do with it. She comes from a middle-class family and her (divorced) parents can somehow sustain her permanence in London, even though she's now strongly advised to find a job to help make ends meet. Lee has close friends who live similar (unstable) lives in London: that means that as they try to pursue an artistic career they also need to deal with bills/ expensive rents/ love relationships/ ambitions and so on.
