The owner of a nursing home sets up an amateur dramatic society to deflect away unsavoury allegations, but his bogus community spirit is soon exposed by a new arrival.
A crooked Am Dram society led by a slightly deranged director attracts a clan of quirky individuals all seeking their fifteen minutes, for various reasons. Throughout the series we discover their fears, hopes and a few dark secrets along the way as they rehearse together to put on a show. NOMADS, set against the backdrop of a small village community amateur dramatic society is about individual journeys, uncovering truths and ultimately discovering that we all have a meaning in life and sometimes it takes a leap of faith to become who we really are. The grit of Shameless meets the gaudiness of Benidorm with a bit of Psychoville thrown in. Newton Otley village hall ain't big enough for everyone and when you throw this lot into the melting pot and stir, disarray and hilarious antics ensue with life changing results.
