Outside Of Me, In

2020, 4 minutes

I am drowning my dear, in seas of fire - Virginia Wolf

Outside of me, In With footage shot originally as a workshop pre lockdown, 4 creatives bring their own experiences of oppression to explore sexuality, race, gender, societal structures, feelings of injustice and their experiences of otherness through this dance film made during this pandemic. Covid 19 has forced many to reflect and examine on how much they may be living outside of themselves, restricted by a society that is constructed by and serves one dominating demographic. As society is deconstructed, we have an oppurtunity to go inwards. We struggle, we fail, we break, we work to push those limitations and oppressions to hopefully find who we are at the core. Can that core be the foundation for rebirth? The opportunity for change is in our hands, can we unite to make that change?
