Building up the courage to defy her abuser, Jasmine plans an escape to build a better life for her young son, however, her choices could put them both in harm's way.

The story follows Jasmine (late 28) on the day she builds up enough courage to defy her abusive boyfriend, by betting his money on a horse race. She does this with the hope of providing a better life for her son Tommy (10) and ultimately escaping the cycle of abuse that rules their lives. Jasmine and Tommy reside with Donovan (35), Jasmine's abuser; meaning that their choices could put them both at risk of homelessness. As the film unfolds, we learn how the circumstances of their situation unwillingly pushes Jasmine to scar the only thing she was trying to save; her relationship with her son Tommy.
