We open on Gwen and Martin arguing after an awkward dinner with Gwen's parents. When Martin intimates that Gwen will never marry him unless he convert, she kicks him out of the flat. We then flash back to the previous summer, seeing how the couple met and fell in love at a christian pilgrimage camp, despite their very different world views.
