Alyson and Simon are drawn together on South Bank
Simon gets stood up my his date at a cafe and is rude to Alyson while she is trying to order. He then feels bad and gives her the flowers meant for his date, before leaving. After wandering around London, he decides to go back and find the girl at the cafe but she is gone and he follows the petals to find her, only to discover when he does that she has a date herself. He picks up the flowers that Alyson has left on a park bench and is about to throw them in the Thames when Alyson reappears and tells him to stop, her date having also gone badly. They talk and walk off into the sunset together
