Kate prepares to escape her abusive boyfriend.
After Kate finishes work at a cafe, she says bye to Matt, her co-worker. As she walks home, a car is following her. She becomes increasingly nervous as it follows her. The car stops. Out gets her boyfriend, Scott, who offers to take her home. She's terrified of him. He's controlling, paranoid and jealous. While Kate wants to escape, she tenderly treasures the good times they had together stretching back years. Kate, however, tests positive on a pregnancy test kit. She chooses to keep it from Scott. Scott controls what she wears, monitors who calls her and is emotionally, physically and psychologically abusive, especially when Kate tries to escape. In the final scene, Kate puts the used pregnancy test kit in a cardboard box. The camera reveals that the box is full of used pregnancy test kits. Every single one has tested positive.
