Student film about parallel-present post apocalypse survivors

John Chance is barricaded into his house which is well stocked with canned food. He responds to banging on the door and a voice calling for help by going to the door with an automatic pistol, opening it a crack, and eventually admitting Michael. At more banging, he uncovers a loophole and shoots at someone/something outside. While repulsing the attack, he's knocked unconscious by a falling plank, and Michael fires at those outside. Recovers, let's Michael stay the night. All clear next morning, so tells Michael to go, giving him provisions and a gun. Michael thanks John, then shoots him.
