Short film promoting Amnesty International screened during The Secret Policeman's Third Ball
A man is violently arrested by jackbooted police in some unidentified country with a repressive regime. He is beaten and thrown into a filthy dark bare cell with a barred and boarded up window. As time passes his conditions improve - the guards become less cruel and remove the boarding from the window an iron bedstead is thrust into the cell, and later a mattress. Eventually he gats a letter from someone in Amnesty International which says "We know you're in there, and we're trying to get you released." He bursts into tears.
