Nature versus the magical

Professor Malika tells the story of a woman (Rosamond) in her 30’s who is unable to bare a child. The last series of IVF treatments were unsuccessful, and she feels that science and medicine have failed her. She has no partner and is distraught with her predicament and dreams of committing suicide. Her friend (Lucy), has what Rosamond believes is the perfect life - a loving husband, a child and is again pregnant. One day she physically bumps into a mysterious woman, who calls herself Professor Malika and who offers her services to Rosamond to help ‘solve’ her problem. Disenchanted with becoming pregnant via IVF, she puts her fate into the hands of the voodoo doctor, having disastrous repercussions, which ultimately end in her death.
