Vishal the young Indian guy who lives with his Lithuanian wife Agne must scatter his father's ashes into a river based on Hindu religion but three petty accidentally steal the ashes and when they find out the contains asks for ransom.

Vishal a young Indian student who lives with his Lithaunian partner Agne in Lithuania on an arranged marriage for his visa permission. Vishal’s father Krishna was on a trip to visit his son in Lithuania where he passed away. Vishal being the eldest son of the family is now in charge to look after his father’s funeral based on Hindu tradition. First cremation, then ashes must be scattered into the river all in order of the release back to the natural cycle of rebirth. Vishal manages to do the first step easily which is cremation through a private funeral company, but then he is unable to transfer back the ashes to their homeland India because he cannot obtain a crematory certification due to law restrictions. Authority does not allow scattering ashes into the river either. So his only way to scatter the ashes into a local river is by doing it illegally, but Agne strongly believes in obeying all the laws in all her fierce practical assessment of life and so she is against any illegal action due to her father is a senior police officer and might find bring saviour problem on her shoulder, Vishal can not do it without her approval because his visa depends on her. Vishal is extremely disappointed in himself and seeks to find an alternative way to end the problem, so he agrees to join Agne to meet a Turkish guy who has been introduced to Agne. The man might be able to solve their problem of ashes in return of some cash. While Vishal and Agne are out to meet the guy in a local Turkish kebab shop a group of three young local burglars break into their modest flat and steal some belongings including Agne’s laptop and Krishna’s ashes in a beautiful wooden box. The three burglars, two of which have characters of varying degree of stupidity and recklessness, and one who is an odd, wise and spiritual bohemian character called Boho, come together in their small warehouse space to check on their stash of stolen items amongst which is the urn of ashes. On realising what the box contains, Boho advise two other thieves to respect the ashes and try to make a deal with owner of ashes in return on 10 thousands Litas ( Lithuanian currency ) so two other thieves Marcius and Benjy leave a note with number on which Agne and Vishal are to call. Agne finds their note and calls thieves asking them to bring her laptop back otherwise she will report them to police, but they refuse to discuss about laptop and ask for ransom in return of ashes by sunset at the church by the park. Agne informs Vishal of the deal. Vishal who doesn’t have any money to conceal the deal ask Agne for her help using her savings but she refuses, so Vishal angry on Agne leave their house. Two policemen been sent to search the bridge for the thieves of ashes. Two thieves waiting for ransom panic when they see the cops notice them and throw the box of ashes into the river and run away. Meanwhile Vishal that has gone to riverbank after argument with Agne; notices a small fish flipping in a muddy paddle, he decides to rescue the fish back to the river that bring him a relief.
