The story behind the Headlines

'ROSE' is a dream-like short film drawing strong elements from both 'Brief Encounter' and 'Sin City'. It follows the story of our protagonist, Thom, whose fiancee, Rose, has been missing for several weeks with no trace. Thom will not accept that she is missing, and enters an alternate reality to escape the truth – with a twist. I wanted to highlight the story behind the headlines we so often see in the media, of missing people, and get to the heart of the family, friends and lovers left behind the aftermath.
