Scarecrow in Purgatory is an experimental 3 minute drama with hints of dark comedy

Aldous has been stuck in Purgatory for a while and for him, it turns out Purgatory is a muddy field where time stands still. No matter how hard Aldous tries to escape, he always ends up back in the field. To his left, stands an old battered wooden door. He does’t know what’s through it as he doesn’t have the confidence to open it. On his right, is a simple scarecrow an object as motionless and silent as the door, but being his only companion, something Aldous feels deep affection for. Purgatory is strange place for Aldous; time stands still - as does the weather. He whittles away boredom in any way he can until an encounter he has with the scarecrow causes his to face up to his judgement and confront what’s behind the door.
