The film is about an intelligent former teacher that has to work in a call centre to make ends meet. On a daily basis she has to deal with an inadequate manager Chris. Enthusiastic manager Chris is fresh out of university,he aggravates the staff with his use of business buzzwords and his patronising quiet chats about the staffs sales figures. His sad life is driven by his engrained passion for the call centre. The script play's on the ridiculous nature of a call centre and the fact that the workers are numbers rather then human beings. This is depicted in the script with light humour.
