Seeing Smoke
2009, 90 minutes
Seeing Smoke is a cautionary tale about a man falsely accused of child molestation, and the effect this has on his life and those around him.
Director Glen Mortimer is well aware of the emotive nature of this theme. This is an incredibly controversial subject, he says. There are many people whose lives have been utterly destroyed by false allegations of this kind, while at the same time the media drives itself into a frenzy. As they say, mud sticks. Its a compelling script, and a film dying to be made.
