A grieving homeless musician encounters a rebellious runaway girl.

‘Shelter’ follows one day in the hard life of homeless musician, John. It’s New Year’s Eve, and the winter night shelter he has sought refuge in is set to close for good in the morning. As the grieving John tries to get some rest, he’s disturbed by a rebellious runaway girl, Emily who demands his attention by requesting him to play music. An unlikely friendship is formed between the two and the pair’s performance of ‘Auld Lang Syne’ brings the shelter’s residents to life.
