Sorry, I Can't Remember

2021, 12 minutes

A devoted widow mourning the loss of her husband finds herself sat in a psychiatrist's office with no memory of how she got there.

A woman, named Alyssa is sat in a psychiatrist's office. She has no idea how she got there, and how long she's been there for. The psychiatrist is asking her questions; basic information, including her name, her age, her address. Alyssa just replies 'I don't know'. It cuts to a graphic saying 'five months before the disappearance', where her husband, William, had died suddenly. Two policemen come to the door of the home they bought together to let her know he's been in a tragic accident. A few months later, Alyssa is struggling to pay her mortgage after William has died. Alyssa's friend Heather sets her up on a date with a co-worker called Matt. Matt comes to the door with a bunch of Lillies; the lilies are a symbol of her and William's relationship. The sight of the lilies causes Alyssa to have a panic attack. She slaps the lilies out of his hands and slams the door in Matt's face. Alyssa ends up entering a fugue state which leads to her ending up in a psychiatrist's office. As the psychiatrist is giving Alyssa more information as to why she's here, it appears the situation is not as it seems.
