A young US politician struggles between his liberal ideals and conservative upbringing.

Dale Kensington is an up and coming politician running for the Senate in the state of Wyoming. He grew up in a small conservative town but is running as a democrat with the help of his friend and campaign manager Sonny. Things take a turn when speeches made by Dale, that he has no memory of, start turning up on TV where he declares his support for an oil pipeline that will cut through native American land. Believing the interviews to be deep fakes Dale is conflicted when they result in him rising in the polls.
